Woodblock Printing
Woodblock Printing
This paper is suitable for woodblock prints. It is mainly thick and strong enough to withstand multi-color printing. There are two types of paper: sized paper, which can be used immediately, and unsized paper, which can be used after treating it with dosa, a traditional Japanese sizing method. Dosa refers to the liquid (an aqueous glue solution with alum added) and dosa-biki means "processed." There are two ways to do this: by applying dosa to the finished paper afterwards, or adding the sizing agent to the paper when it is being made.
